High-impact
For roughly the cost of one year's private school fees, we can fully build, stock and run a library that serves 200+ children.
A high-impact investment
With funding calculated per pupil and headcount numbers reducing, most state primary schools are stretched on the basics. A school library is often seen as an unaffordable luxury — which is exactly why, in an area of book poverty, building one can be one of the best returns on investment there is.

This isn't a one-off. Every year a new cohort of children starts at the school — and benefits from the library.
100% of your donation goes directly to current projects. You can see what we're raising for next below.
It isn't only about books. A good library is a calm, safe space — and many of the children in the schools we work with have difficult home lives.
Where your donation goes
We keep costs to a minimum by sourcing most books through donations and relying on volunteers for the labour. Choose the tier that feels right — or, if cash isn't an option, donate books instead.
Make the library a calm, inviting space that children want to spend time in.
Set the library up for success with the furniture, software and systems it needs to run smoothly.
Cover the full cost of turning a blank room into a fully stocked, decorated and operational library.
We're always looking for good quality books for 4–12 year olds.
