Volunteering

Lots of ways to get involved

If you like what we're doing and would like to help, there's a role for almost anyone — from collecting books to running a project library.

Book collection

Through friends, family and your local community, help us collect good quality books for 4–12 year olds — fiction, non-fiction and picture books. We're aiming for 12,000 books a year. Drop them at our storage location or we'll come and pick them up.

Equipment

We're always on the lookout for desktop PCs, printers, scanners and laminators. If you have spare IT we'd love to hear from you.

Librarians

If one of our projects is local to you and you can come in one or two days a week, we're always on the lookout for librarians.

Design and build

Good with your hands or a budding artist? We need volunteers to help build and decorate libraries — painting, artwork or shelving. Get in touch and we'll match you to the right project.

Library system setup

There's a lot of work in getting a library onto the system — cataloguing books with barcodes, printing library cards and more. If you can help here, please get in touch.
